1. Who we are
BOTRABOU.COM is a job-search platform for Curaçao that connects job seekers with companies. The slogan BUSKA · SOLISITÁ · TRAHA is part of the brand and is not translated.

2. What data we collect
Job seekers: name, email, password, phone, location, profile details, CV and optional documents, applications, messages, interview responses, language preference, and notification settings.
Companies: business name, business email, contact person, phone, address, industry, description, logo, company photographs, vacancies, applicant reviews (including internal notes that are never shown to applicants), team memberships, and messages.
Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, session cookies, and security logs (for example failed sign-in attempts).
We collect only what is needed to run the service, including age-eligibility checks. The platform is for users aged 16 and older. Individual vacancies may require a higher minimum age.
3. How we use data
To create accounts, publish and search vacancies, submit and track applications (including when a company first opens an application), provide private chat, schedule interviews, send notifications and emails in your chosen language (English, Dutch, or Spanish; default English), moderate the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
Applicant information is shared with a company only after you apply to that company’s vacancy. One company cannot access another company’s dashboard, applicants, files, or messages.
4. Advertising and cookies
Public pages may show Google advertising when an authorized adult operator has enabled it. Ads are not shown on login, registration, applications, chats, dashboards, or CV upload pages.
We do not use personalized advertising for users known to be under 18. Advertising requires cookie/consent choices where required. Unsuitable ad categories (including gambling, alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, adult content, and misleading recruitment ads) are blocked in our advertising settings.
5. Younger users
Accounts are not offered to people under 16. Users aged 16–17 receive extra privacy safeguards, safer messaging controls, and non-personalized advertising.
6. Storage, security, and retention
Data is stored with access controls. CVs and private files are not published at open URLs. Passwords are hashed. Administrators have stronger access controls and sensitive actions are audit-logged.
We keep data only as long as needed for the service, legal obligations, and dispute handling, then delete or anonymize it according to our retention process.
Times are handled in the America/Curacao time zone. Salary amounts, when shown, use XCG.
7. Your choices
You may access or update your profile, change language, manage notification and cookie preferences, withdraw an application where the product allows it, and request account deletion by contacting jaersite@gmail.com.
