1. Who is responsible for your information?
Thompsii, trading as Botrabou.com is responsible for personal information collected through https://botrabou.com and related Botrabou.com services. This policy is written with reference to Curaçao’s Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens (Personal Data Protection Ordinance, A.B. 2010, no. 84).

2. Information we collect
Young applicants: name, date of birth, area of residence, preferred language, optional gender, email, WhatsApp number, optional alternative telephone, education, skills, experience, availability, work interests, motivation, support needs, optional CV or certificates, application status, messages, and parent or guardian details for applicants aged 15–17.
Businesses, organizations, sponsors and workshop facilitators: organization name, sector, location, website, contact person, partnership or hiring interests, proposals, supporting documents, and meeting or contract records when applicable.
Account and technical information: account identifier, password hash, verification and consent records, browser and device data, IP address, activity logs, cookie choices, and support requests.
Do not submit unnecessary identity documents, bank details, medical information or criminal-record information through a general public form. Passwords are stored as hashes, never in plain text.
3. Why we use information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, verify contacts, build applicant profiles, review applicants, communicate about applications and meetings, share approved profile information with a relevant business, arrange training and workshops, evaluate partnership requests, provide support, keep required records, prevent fraud, improve the website, and comply with law.
Optional gender is never used to automatically rank or reject applicants. Optional marketing is separate from essential account and application messages.
4. Permission and other lawful reasons
We process information because you requested a service, because you or a parent/guardian gave permission, because processing is reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, because a legal obligation applies, or because another lawful basis applies.
Refusing optional marketing does not prevent you from using the basic service.
5. Young people’s information
People under 15 are not placed in ordinary job matching. Applicants aged 15–17 require guardian confirmation before placement consideration.
Only information necessary for an opportunity is shared. Exact date of birth, gender, home contact details and guardian details are not normally shown to a business during initial review.
Contact and meetings involving a person under 18 follow Botrabou.com’s safeguarding process. We do not allow advertising profiles based on youth applicant data.
A parent or guardian may contact botrabou@thompsii.com about a minor’s information, subject to identity and authority checks.
6. When we share information
We may share information with authorized staff and contractors, a relevant business after selection and applicable permission, a participating organization or facilitator for a chosen program, service providers (hosting, email, WhatsApp Cloud API, maps, security, and advertising only after cookie consent), professional advisers, and public authorities when lawfully required.
Botrabou.com does not sell applicant profiles or personal information. A business receiving candidate information must use it only for the relevant recruitment process.
7. Candidate-profile sharing controls
Staff may review a complete profile. A business first receives a limited view: first name or reference, age range rather than exact birth date, general area rather than a home address, education, skills, languages, experience, interests and availability.
Direct contact details, full CV and other documents are released only when needed for the next stage.
8. Email and WhatsApp communication
Essential confirmation, verification, security, application and meeting messages are sent to the email address and WhatsApp number you provide. These messages are necessary to deliver the requested service.
Optional news and promotions use a separate, unselected consent box. You may withdraw marketing consent. You may still receive necessary service messages while an account or request remains open.
WhatsApp and telephone providers process information under their own terms. Never send passwords, verification codes, bank-card details or unnecessary identity documents through chat.
9. How long we keep information
Unverified accounts or unfinished forms: delete after 30 days. Active youth profiles: while active, with review after 12 months without activity. Inactive youth profiles: ask the user to renew; delete or anonymize after 24 months without activity.
Closed application records: up to 12 months after closure unless the user asks to remain in the talent pool. Business, organization, sponsor or facilitator inquiries: up to 24 months after last meaningful contact. Contracts and invoices: for the period required by law. Security logs: normally up to 12 months. Consent and legal records: as long as needed to demonstrate compliance.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections, password hashing, role-based access, administrator controls, logs for sensitive access, backups, and incident-response procedures. No online system is perfectly secure. Use a strong unique password and keep verification codes private.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm processing, provide access, correct information, delete or restrict information that is no longer needed, stop optional marketing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent for future processing, or close your account. Send a request to botrabou@thompsii.com.
We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. Withdrawal does not undo lawful processing already completed and may prevent continued matching where the information is necessary.
12. Automated tools and human review
Filters may help identify opportunities based on interests, education, skills, language, location and availability. A final hiring decision is not made solely through an automated system. A Botrabou.com team member and/or the relevant business reviews candidates before a final decision.
13. International services
Some service providers may process information outside Curaçao. We select providers and use contractual and security controls appropriate to the information and applicable law.
14. Cookies and analytics
Necessary cookies operate the website and account. Analytics, advertising and third-party media cookies remain off until you make a cookie choice. See the Cookie Policy.
15. External links
The website may link to a business, application page or third-party service. Botrabou.com is not responsible for how an independent third party handles information.
16. Changes to this Policy
This policy is effective 9 September 2026. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
